Swarovski Optik has joined forces with Australian industrial designer Marc Newson to introduce a groundbreaking product in celebration of Swarovski Optik’s 75th anniversary. The Swarovski Optik AX Visio binoculars, touted as the world’s first of its kind, represent a remarkable advancement in the realm of world viewing. This innovative piece, developed over five years, features Swarovski’s precision 10×32 optic systems, comprising 10x magnification and a 32mm lens diameter, along with 390 hardware parts. Notably, the binoculars incorporate a wildlife-focused artificial intelligence system that can identify over 9,000 bird species and other animals, enhancing the viewing experience.
A standout feature of these binoculars is the built-in camera for photography and videography, elevating the enjoyment of wildlife observation. Additionally, an accompanying app facilitates seamless sharing of captured content to smartphones. Stefan Schwarz, CEO of Swarovski Optik, emphasized that the AX Visio reflects a deep understanding of consumers’ needs in the birdwatching and outdoor target group. He stated, “The AX Visio is not only a flagship project showcasing Swarovski Optik’s technological leadership in the sport optics market, but it also signifies the dawn of a new technological era for us.”
The Swarovski Optik AX Visio binoculars are currently available for €4,600 EUR (approximately $5,044 USD).
