Josh Hutcherson, known for his roles in various film projects since childhood, recently shared a surprising revelation about a missed opportunity in his early career. In a recent interview with BuzzFeed, the actor disclosed that he had auditioned for a role in one of the Home Alone films when he was around 11 years old.
Reflecting on the experience, Hutcherson recalled, “It got down to me and the other guy. That was the first time that I tasted rejection, so that was really hard.” Although he didn’t land the Home Alone role, Hutcherson went on to secure roles in other notable projects such as RV, Bridge to Terabithia, and Journey to the Center of the Earth. He later gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Peeta in the Hunger Games franchise.
When asked about his current relationship with his Hunger Games co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth, Hutcherson expressed that they still make time to connect despite their busy schedules. “They’re still near and dear to me,” he affirmed.
Furthermore, Hutcherson expressed his fondness for his role as Peeta, stating that he would readily revisit the “whole Hunger Games experience” if given the opportunity.
